President of the Student Government Association: JJ Dorrell

Current 2016-17 Goals: 

Christy and I have many goals for this semester and they all revolve around our platform and the five pillars we ran on last spring. Some of the projects we want to work on this year are, Spanish translation materials available to families and prospective students, a Bike-sharing program for campus, looking into lighting on campus, making sure campus is handicap accessible, providing Mental Health Education & resources to students, and bringing a LGBTQ+ Resource Center to campus.

 

Dorrell is a Senior Exercise Science major from Ozark, Missouri at Truman State University.

Student Government: JJ has been the Vice-President and Chair of Student Affairs (twice), Senior Senator, Voting Senator and also served on the Environmental affairs and Diversity Committees.

Beyond Student Government: Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), President. Wrestling Team Captain.

Fun Fact: Donuts are JJ’s favorite food, followed closely by ice cream (preferably Andy’s Frozen Custard)
