This year, we are especially focusing on improving relations with the Kirksville Community, as well as improving upon one of our traditional events: Storm the Capitol.

Projects:
Storm the Capitol: On February 25th TSU students will travel to Jefferson City for a day to lobby for issues pertaining to the student body. This year the focus will be on the budget.
Student Senate Alumni Reception: This was held on the Saturday of Homecoming Week. We met a few Student Senate Alumni who shared with us what Senate was like when they were in office. It was very interesting, and we were honored to have them there.
Voter Registration Drive: This was held on Thursday, October 2nd. We attempted to bring together three of the political organizations on campus, as well as Student Affairs and Vote Local, in order to register students to vote and inform them about the causes and candidates in the upcoming election.
