Board of Governors Student Representative

The Board of Governors is the University’s highest policy-making body, charged with the important role of setting policy and providing guidance for the University. The board is composed of 10 members, one of which is a non-voting student representative. The student representative to the Board of Governors serves a two year term, and plays a crucial role in representing the student body to this board. Student Government is currently seeking applications for the next Student Representative to the Board of Governors. Applications are due by 5:00PM October 9. Organization Activities Fee (OAF) Review Committee Chair and 3 Students-at-Large

Every three years, a committee convenes to review all organization activities fees (i.e. Students Activities Fee, Athletic Fee, Environmental Sustainability Fee, etc.) to examine the allocation and administration of said fees in the past three years. The committee consists of predominantly students. This year, the committee is due to convene, and is in search of student members and a chair. Vision Document 2020 Committee Chairship and Members

Every 5 years, the Student Government writes and releases a Vision Document detailing the current state of the University, as well as large-scale visions for it’s future. The last Vision Document to be released was published over 7 years ago, so we are past overdue for some new visions! If interested in chairing this committee, please apply on the Committee Chairship Application on this website. Public Relations Director

 The Student Government PR Director manages and regularly updates our social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), is expected to attend all general body meetings, and is encouraged to attend Executive Committee meetings. This position is available as a scholarship job this year! If you are interested in applying for this position, fill out the application HERE!

Associate Senator

If you’re interested in getting involved in Student Government with less of a time commitment and without running in elections, you can also be an Associate Senator! Associate Senators are appointed by the Student Government to serve on one committee, and are not required to attend general body meetings. While they cannot vote in Student Government meetings, they can work on projects and voice their opinions in discussions.
